Fume hoods are a necessity for facilities throughout our region and beyond. The constant operation of them protects workers from hazardous gases and particles in the air. But, the amount of energy required can result in high energy costs. Mr. Morris estimates that inefficient fume hood design can cost up to $8,000.00 per fume hood, per year.

About Robert Morris
Morris is considered an expert on airflow and containment control issues by the Federal Court, and has received patents on applications for airflow measurement instruments, fume hood controls, linear control valves, linear mechanical actuators, and ultra low pressure transducers.
Morris is a member of the National Society for Professional Engineers, the Instrument Society of America, and the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning.
